Hottest day ever in Tulum

On one of the days we went to Tulum which was about 2 hours away. The car we took was called the "brother of the Smart Car" which is really cool... but not when you're driving something with wheels the size of a plate I swear.

We were almost there and the gas gauge just drops. We were freaking out because there were no gas stations in sight and we were just coasting. We didn't have any phones and all I could forsee was the car out of gas on the edge of the highway and me staying with it and Chris going for gas. It was a bad vision but we made it to a station (there's like no gas stations there and all of them fill up gas for you)

Tulum was the hottest day EVER!!! We had swimsuits and didn't bring water so we were dying! Thank goodness it was right off the ocean so everyone was going down to the water and just wearing swimsuits around because it was so darn hot.

The pillar is sideways, but you can see the detail of a face (when turning it clockwise). These pillars used to be so colorful and the buildings were built 1200 and 1450 a.d. Apparently this is the face of the "diving god"

These people must have been tiny. Look how big the entrances were, or maybe they liked the entrances being that low.

Is a site of a Pre-Columbian Maya walled city serving as a major port for Cobá. The ruins are located on 12-meter (39 ft) cliffs, along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. (wiki)

We saw huge Iguanas (or at least that's what we think it was). They were nice and wouldn't disturb us

This place was beautiful and had so many beautiful buildings in its tropical landscape. Again the outside walls were used as defense from an invasion.

Look how big these leaves were. It was so pretty and again... it was so hot

Here is the entrance to get to the structures

It was so hot

This is the Temple of the Frescos

It was so fun to be there and see some of the Mexican Ruins off of the ocean
